Man Convicted of Trafficking 15-Year-Old Indianapolis Girl

Krisean Porter was convicted Tuesday night for felony human trafficking, promoting prostitution, and sexual misconduct with a minor.

INDIANAPOLIS-- Marion County prosecutors announced the conviction of a man they say used a 15-year-old girl for prostitution.

Krisean Porter, 32, was convicted Tuesday night for felony human trafficking, promoting prostitution, and sexual misconduct with a minor.

In July 2017, State Police say they found the girl during an undercover operation on the west side of Indianapolis. They say the girl was a runaway and had been used for prostitution by Porter for about a month.

Officers say a search of Porter’s residence revealed several items inside the home indicating trafficking. Those items included medical documents containing Porter and the girl's notebook with website advertisement information, motel locations, pricing, and a clipboard with Porter’s name and what appeared to be rules for a trafficking victim.

They also say they searched the girl's phone, which was owned by Porter. They say they found several photos of the girl believed to be used in online advertisements to promote prostitution. Additionally, text messages between Porter and the girl indicated a pattern of abusive and controlling behaviors that are commonly used by sex traffickers, investigators say.

Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said the following in a statement:

Krisean Porter physically and emotionally abused a vulnerable child for his personal gain. Our office is committed to targeting and bringing to justice those who engage in human trafficking and exploitation. I am pleased with the work of our deputy prosecutors alongside the Indiana State Police that resulted in a compelling case and a guilty verdict.
