Man Drives Into Pond To Avoid Hitting Baby Ducks

A man ended up in a retention pond, after he swerved to miss a group of baby ducks crossing the road.

INDIANAPOLIS -- While the baby ducks floated, the car sank.

A man ended up in a retention pond at the Castleton Manor Apartments Monday night, after he swerved to miss a group of baby ducks crossing the road.

The Indianapolis Fire Department says the man got out of the car safely, but the car was mostly underwater.

A dive team got the car hooked to a wrecker and out of the pond, and the baby ducks made it safely across the road.
