INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man is facing federal charges after robbing a bank and leading police on a high-speed chase over the weekend.

The FBI in Indianapolis says 34-year-old Andreas Calhoun went into a Fifth Third Bank on 82nd Street in Indianapolis just before 11 a.m. Saturday, wearing a mask and holding a gun, and demanded cash. He also ordered the employees to lay on the ground and put their hands on their heads.

Bank employees and customers were able to call 911 and give a description of the getaway car.

A few minutes later, a Lawrence police officer located the car and tried to pull it over. Instead, the car drove off, starting a high-speed chase. It ended when the car crashed near 46th Street and Andover Road. Officers arrested Calhoun and found a gun and cash inside the car.
