Muncie Officials Continue Search for Wanted Child Rapist

Former Muncie resident Alfred Cash is wanted on two counts of child molesting. He'll have his day in court, if he can be found.

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The search continues for a convicted child rapist wanted on new charges out of Delaware County.

More than 100 days after a warrant was issued for his arrest, 59-year-old Alfred Cash remains at large.

Cash faces two counts of child molesting over claims he touched a five-year-old Muncie girl in 2005.

Muncie police interviewed Cash at his home in Ohio earlier this year, but have been unable to reach him since.

Cash has already served time for raping a 12-year-old Oklahoma girl and sexually assaulting two kids from Ohio. He was also convicted in 2008 after failing to register as a sex offender when he moved to Ohio; the conviction was later overturned by a federal appeals court.

The Muncie Star Press says local authorities intend to try Cash once he's been located.
