New Fire Chief Named for Wayne Township Fire Dept.

Battalion Chief Randy Adams is a 35-year veteran of the Wayne Township Fire Department.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The New Year will bring a new chief to the Wayne Township Fire Department.

Battalion Chief Randy Adams will take over the role of Fire Chief from Gene Konzen on Jan. 1, 2019.

He was selected for the role by Township Trustee-Elect Chuck Jones.

Chief Adams is a 35-year veteran of the Wayne Township Fire Department. He has served in several positions within the department, most recently in the role of Shift Commander.

Chief Adams will work with outgoing Fire Chief Konzen in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition of power.
