One Person Killed in Crash on I-70 Near Greenfield
GREENFIELD, Ind. -- At least one person is dead after a crash on I-70 in Hancock County.
The crash happened Saturday on westbound I-70 near Exit 104/State Road 9 in Greenfield, according to Indiana State Police Sgt. John Perrine.
"We still have people out there very selfishly driving very fast, without regard for other people on the road, and there's been a fatality on I-70 in Hancock County," Sgt. Perrine said in a Periscope video Saturday afternoon. "It's heartbreaking."
ISP has not shared the name of the victim or said what might have caused the fatal crash.
As of 3:45 PM, westbound I-70 remains closed at mile marker 100 for crash cleanup and investigation.
I70 Westbound MM100 is closed due to a serious accident. All westbound traffic will be exiting at SR9. Again, stay home unless you absolutely have to be out. The roads are very slick and hazardous.
