Pacers Getting Ready for Second Game With Boston After Loss

The playoffs continue Wednesday. Sunday's loss was tough.

BOSTON--The Indiana Pacers lost the first game of their playoff series against the Boston Celtics, 84-74, in Boston. The Pacers lack of scoring is being blamed for the loss, though the defense came through and kept the Celtics from running away with the game.

"We just didn't make enough shots," said forward Thaddeus Young, in the post-game news conference. "We were getting wide open looks and they were rattling in-and-out or they were just missed shots."

"We didn't establish ourselves in that third quarter and the turnovers led to poor execution and missed some shots. I thought we had some open looks in that third quarter and really lost our rhythm," said head Coach Nate McMillan. "They turned up the intensity, we didn't respond to that."

Though both teams scored low, they have a chance to turn it up Wednesday in Game 2. The Pacers play the Celtics at 7 p.m. and you can hear the game of 1070 The Fam, and watch it on TNT and Fox Sports Indiana. contributed to this report.
