Paoli Peaks Ready to Open

The southern Indiana ski resort has been making snow for weeks in anticipation of opening day on Friday.

PAOLI, Ind. -- If you're ready to hit the slopes, then Paoli Peaks is ready for you.

The southern Indiana ski resort will open for the season on Friday.

Resort general manager Rick Mullen says you can expect plenty of snow whether you're skiing, snowboarding, or snow-tubing.

According to Mullen, cold weather with low nighttime temperatures has given their snow-making machines plenty of time to make -- and keep making -- great quality snow.

"Our snowmakers have done a great job and our team has been busy preparing the slopes and facilities for our guests to come enjoy," Mullen said in a press release.

The resort opens for skiing and snowboarding at 1 p.m. Arctic Blast Snow Tubing begins at 5 p.m.
