Police in Carroll County also arrested 2 other people at a home in Delphi.

CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. -- Two parents have been arrested after they had to be revived after they overdosed in their car while their children were in the back seat. The children are 11, 6, and 4-years-old.

A passerby is credited with saving the couple's lives after they came across the car stopped in the middle of State Road 18 near Carroll County.

The responding officers administered Narcan to the two adults and they were revived before emergency crews arrived. Deputies say Adam Smith, 31, and his wife, Donnis, 29, were treated at the hospital and then arrested. They are both facing multiple charges including neglect of a dependent.

“Thankfully, a Good Samaritan came along and immediately reported this situation," said Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby. "Thankfully our Deputies administered life-saving measures which prevented these children from losing their parents.”

The Department of Child Services took custody of all three children.

Officiers also served a warrant at a home in Delphi. Theyarrested Sara Huff, 43, and Dustin Prater, 31. Both are facing numerous drug-related charges.
