Police: Teenager Arrested for Making Up "Rape Fantasy" Attack

The boy said he responded to a post in the app from the girl who said she was looking for someone to fulfill a "rape fantasy."

ANDERSON, Ind.--Filing a false report is something you should never do. That's what police say a woman from Pendleton did.

They say Maggie Wallace, 19, told them on July 3rd that she was attacked by a man while jogging in Mounds State Park.

Officers spoke with a 17-year-old boy who said he met Wallace on an app and both of them agreed to meet at the park.

The boy said he responded to a post in the app from Wallace who said she was looking for someone to fulfill a "rape fantasy."

He saved the screenshots of the conversation between him and Wallace on his cell phone.

When police followed up with Wallace, they say she denied the information at first, but later admitted that she didn't tell the truth the first time.

Wallace is facing one misdemeanor charge of false informing.

“While this is extremely frustrating, on several levels, I am very proud of the work our Detective Division performed,” Madison County Sheriff Scott Mellinger said.
