Police: Two People Arrested for Threatening Clay County DCS Employees

Both of them were arrested Wednesday night.

CLAY COUNTY, Ind.--Two people were arrested earlier this month and are accused of threatening several employees of the Clay County Department of Child Services.

State police say Jacinda A. Batchelor, 32, and John Pastrick, 25, were both at the Clay County Department of Child Services for a scheduled appointment to submit to a certified chemical test September 5. Both of them are from Brazil.

Investigators say they both became argumentative and confrontational with staff members. They say they both eventually made verbal threats to do serious bodily harm and intimidated those employees using violent gestures.

Both of them were arrested Wednesday night on disorderly conduct and intimidation charges. Batchelor and Pastrick were taken to the Clay County Jail. Their bond is $7,000.
