Popular Gaming Commentator In Town For GenCon Claims He Was Assaulted At Bar

INDIANAPOLIS -- A popular personality within the gaming community was assaulted at a bar in Indianapolis Wednesday night.

Jeremy Hambly is a gaming and social commentator known as "TheQuartering" with a YouTube following of over 250,000 subscribers over two YouTube Channels. According to his Twitter feed, he is in Indianapolis for GenCon.

When he began making his centrist/conservative political views known to people at the bar a person walked up to Hambly, asked him who he wasm and started repeatedly punching him.

According to Hambly, the person who assaulted him is another popular GenCon attendee by the name of "Matt Fantastic." Hambly says after being assaulted his attacker stormed out of the bar punching out a window in the process.

He's demanding "this Matt character" be removed from his booth at GenCon.

"I don't understand way this person hasn't been removed, I don't know if he's still there or not," Hambly said on Twitter. "I want a statement (from GenCon). I want a statement of safety and I want to know that regardless of someone's political beliefs you are going to protect us at your convention."

It's still not clear the exact reason the man attacked Hambly. It's still not clear the exact reason the man attacked Hambly. He's also accusing GenCon of deleting and banning people that are talking about the assault from the convention's live chat, known as the "Twitch Channel" on their web site.
