Purdue to Play Arizona in Foster Farms Bowl
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- As Purdue's "miracle season" starts to wind down, the Boilers will look to cap it all off in their first bowl game since 2012.
Purdue will face the Arizona Wildcats in the Foster Farms Bowl at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara December 27th.
"I know it's something our players and our staff have worked extremely hard for," said head coach Jeff Brohm, who is in his first season at the helm of the Boilermakers. "I'm looking forward for the opportunity to go out west and play a great opponent in Arizona, and I know our players will have a great month of practice."
The last time the Boilers went to a bowl game was at the end of the 2012 season, when they fell to Oklahoma State in the Heart of Dalls Bowl, 58-14. In the four season that followed, under then coach Darell Hazell, Purdue won only nine games.
Levi's Stadium will be a fitting atmosphere for the Boilers and Brohm. With the game being played at the home of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers, Jeff Brohm will be returning to the area where he spent some time as an NFL quarterback. He played for the 49ers in the 1996-1997 season.
