Purdue University Breaks Not One, But Two Guinness World Records
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University students shattered a previous Guinness World Record title Wednesday, during Boiler Gold Rush activities.
Over 5,500 students broke the record for most train whistles blown at the same time. The previous record was 1,569, which was held by the Village of Bartlett, Illinois.
Chemical engineering professor, Vilas Pol, also broke a Guinness World Record when he assembled the periodic table in 8 minutes 36 seconds from memory.
