Semi Crashes Through Front of Indiana Wendy's

Sheriff's deputies say there were five workers inside the restaurant in Dale, Ind. when a semi crashed through the front door.

DALE, Ind. -- Employees at a Wendy's in Spencer County got an unwelcome surprise Wednesday night when a semi crashed through the front door.

The truck crashed into the Wendy's in Dale, just off of I-64, at around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The Spencer Co. Sheriff's Office tells WFIE-TV that the truck driver was hooking up the trailer when the brakes failed.

The truck went all the way into the restaurant and split the dining room and kitchen in half.

Sheriff's deputies told WFIE there were five workers inside Wendy's at the time of the crash, but no one was hurt.
