Shelbyville Police Looking For Man Who Tried To Abduct A Child

The mother told officers she was pushing her child near the Dollar General Store along Miller Avenue on the southwest side of town Tuesday night when a man ran up and tried to take the child. 

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- Police need your help finding a man who may have tried to abduct a child. 

 

The mother told officers she was pushing her child near the Dollar General Store along Miller Avenue on the southwest side of town Tuesday night when a man ran up and tried to take the child.  She says she was able to push him away and run for help. 

 

Investigators are now looking for a white man with a dark tan, in his early to mid 30's, 5-foot-10 to six-foot-tall, weighing 250 pounds with black hair and black beard. 

 

The suspect was also seen wearing gray shirt, khaki shorts  khaki shorts and a white baseball cap.
