Slick Roads, Hazardous Travel Expected Throughout Central Indiana This Weekend

A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect for most of the state including central Indiana through Sunday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Freezing Rain Advisory for most of the state through Sunday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m.  The areas affected range from Lafayette, Kokomo and Muncie to the north and Vincennes, Bedford and North Vernon to the south.

In addition, a yellow travel advisory has been issued Friday afternoon for Hamilton, Hancock, Greene and Morgan counties until further notice.  This means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in some areas because of a hazardous situation including slick roads.
