Southport PD Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect

Bank robber, construction worker, or both? A man wearing a hard hat and orange vest robbed a Southport bank last week.

INDIANAPOLIS --  Police in Southport are looking for the suspect in a bank robbery. 

A man dressed as a construction robbed the Chase Bank at 7001 S. Madison Avenue on Thursday, Oct. 3. 

He claimed to have a gun, but never showed one, said Southport PD.

The man was wearing a white hard hat, orange vest,  a long-sleeved shirt, jeans and work boots. Surveillance video shows him talking on a cell phone during the robbery.
