Teenager Killed in Randolph County Crash

Officers say the teen lost control of his vehicle.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind--A 16-year-old boy has been killed on an icy Randolph County road.

The sheriff's department says a truck driven by Aiden Shellabarger lost control at high speed Wednesday and hit two trees before coming to rest in a culvert. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 16-year-old passenger was injured but is expected to recover at IU Health in Muncie. Crash investigators say they were both wearing seat belts. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Randolph County Sheriff's Department.
