INDIANAPOLIS – Now in its tenth year, the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon is one of the 20 largest marathons in the U.S.

About 19,000 people will gather on Saturday, Nov. 4 to run and walk either the full marathon distance of 26.2 miles or the half marathon of 13.1 miles.  The full and half marathons start at 8 a.m. and the 5K race begins at 8:20 p.m.

The event will start and finish at the Indiana State Capitol along Capitol Avenue at Washington Street in downtown Indianapolis.  The full marathon route will travel along Pennsylvania Street and Fall Creek Road to the Indiana State Fairgrounds and continuing north until reaching 66th Street on the city’s northside before circling around back to downtown Indianapolis.

So far the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon has raised more than a million dollars to support local public education and teach children throughout Indianapolis and central Indiana about the importance of exercise, maintaining a proper diet and healthy living.

Streets will close at 6:00am and reopen at 3:00pm. These maps will help you navigate around the Circle City Saturday.
