Two Killed After Their Car Bursts Into Flames Identified
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Fort Wayne police say the two people killed on Sunday were a woman and a teenage boy, and not two teenagers as was originally reported.
They have been identified as Summer Lee-Nicole Keesler, 23, and 13-year-old Kevin Leroy Wiesehan.
An autopsy shows Keesler died of thermal burns and smoke inhalation, and Wiesehan died because of a injury to his head and thermal burns, said the Allen County Coroner's Office.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- On Sunday two teenagers died after their car crashed into another and burst into flames.
Fort Wayne Police responded to a call in the 3700 block of Stellhorn Road in northeast Fort Wayne.
WANE-TV says that when police got there they found one of the cars fully engulfed in flames with two people still inside. Fire crews showed up shortly after to put out the fire.
Medics pronounced a girl and a boy dead at the scene.
Police say that the car lost control, partially because of the icy road conditions, and crashed into another car before catching on fire.
The names of the two people killed have not been released.
Police say that the man in the other car was taken to the hospital with chest pain, but his injuries weren't severe.
