Two Men Arrested For Arson and Murder In The Fowler House Fire Investigation

Police haven't said how the suspects knew the man who died, or if drugs and alcohol were involved.

FOWLER, Ind. -- Two men are accused of arson and murder in an investigation into a house fire that happened in Fowler.

Duane Scott Muse and Rhett Allen Martin, who are cousins, were arrested and taken to the Benton County Jail, said WLFI.

They're accused of killing 60-year-old Daniel C. Riegle and setting fire to his house. Sgt. Kim Riley didn't say how Riegle was killed, or how the suspects knew him.

Crews arrived at Riegle home on Polk Street at about 7:50 a.m. on Friday after a volunteer firefighter found the home in flames. Riegle's body was found inside, and local authorities asked ISP to investigate.

The investigation is ongoing, and police haven't said if drugs or alcohol were involved.
