Two Muncie Teenagers Hit By Train

The 17-year-old and 18-year-old were walking on West 23rd Street when they were hit Wednesday morning, according to police.

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Two teenagers from Muncie were hit by a train at a railroad crossing Wednesday morning.

A 17-year-old woman and 18-year-old man were walking near the railroad crosing on West 23rd Street when they were struck by the train at about 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, reported The Star Press newspaper.

The woman was taken to an Indianapolis hospital with a head injury, according to The Star Press. The man was not seriously hurt.

Police are reviewing video taken by the train to determine the events leading up to the pair being hit.
