Bobby Ashley cut off his monitoring bracelet and ran away from a Volunteers of America program late last month.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The U.S. Marshals Service is asking for help finding a wanted man.

Bobby Ashley, 41, cut off a monitoring bracelet and ran away from a Volunteers of America program in Indianapolis on Oct. 23, U.S. Marshals said Wednesday.

He was last seen near East New York Street and North Highland Avenue. He has also been spotted on East 16th Street.

In 2017, Ashley was convicted of being a felon in possession of a handgun.

Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees Ashley should not approach him and call 911 instead.
