Wanted Lafayette Woman Arrested After Barking at Police K9

If you're wanted by the police, you probably shouldn't draw attention to yourself by barking at a police dog.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- If you're wanted by the police, you probably shouldn't draw attention to yourself by barking at a police dog.

That's what the Lafayette Police Department said led to the arrest of Kiana Fletcher on Monday night.

Fletcher stood outside her house on Elmwood Avenue and barked at a drug dog that was sniffing someone's car during a traffic stop, according to the Journal and Courier.

Officers recognized Fletcher and knew she had a warrant. When they approached, Fletcher ran inside her house--where she just happened to be keeping her stash of meth.

Police found the drugs after getting a search warrant for her home.

Fletcher was arrested and now faces several additional charges on top of her original warrant--all because she barked at a police dog.
