Where to Watch Fireworks in Central Indiana

You can enjoy fireworks at many places across the area starting this weekend.

Summer is here, and that means that Fourth of July festivals and fireworks shows aren't far behind!

Check out our list of central Indiana fireworks displays (including IPL Downtown Freedom Fest) and get ready to celebrate America's birthday!

Saturday, June 30


  • Spark!Fishers Festival at Saxony Beach (replaces the Fishers Freedom Festival) will have a fireworks display at 10 p.m. 


  • Red, White & Boom Festival will run Friday-Saturday with a fireworks display Saturday evening around 10 p.m. over the Ohio River. 

Patoka Lake 

  • The 11th annual Thunder over Patoka show will take place at the beach. Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. Gate fees apply.

Pokagon State Park 

  • The annual Lake James Association fireworks show will start at 10 p.m. Fireworks will launch from barges in the lake’s Lower Basin. Gate fees apply.

 Monday, July 2

Indiana Dunes State Park

  • The ninth annual Fireworks on the Lakefront will begin at 9:15 p.m. The public can watch from the state park. Gate fees apply.

 Tuesday, July 3


  • Community Fireworks at Alexandria Monroe Intermediate School Parking Lot

Wednesday, July 4


  • Watch Indy's largest fireworks display light up the skyline during the IPL Downtown Freedom Fest! Join WIBC and its sister stations at the Indiana War Memorial for fireworks, food, and fun! Things get started at 6:30 p.m. and the fireworks begin at 10!


  • The city of Lawrence 4th of July festivities will run from June 28 - July 7 with a parade on July 4 and fireworks scheduled at 10 p.m. 

Boone County

  • Lebanon Memorial Park will have fireworks at 10 p.m. 


  • CarmelFest2018 will have a fireworks show will launch from an area north of the Palladium and the east side of the Monon starting at 9:45 p.m. 


  • Lions Park will have a fireworks display at dusk. 


  • The city's 4th of July parade and fireworks festival will begin at 4:30 p.m. with fireworks at 10 p.m.

Saturday, July 7

Clifty Falls State Park

  • Madison’s fireworks at the annual Clifty Falls Independence Day Celebration will start between 9 and 9:15 p.m. 

Raccoon State Recreation Area

  • Beach Bash and Fireworks festivities begin at 10 a.m. Fireworks will start at 10 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the gate. 

Versailles State Park

  • Fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk at Versailles Lake. Gate fees will apply until 7 p.m.
