Winds Will Calm Down For Thanksgiving

WISH-TV Meteorologist Marcus Bailey says the strong winds will die down overnight and into Thursday morning.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The strong winds on Wednesday afternoon caused damage in some parts of the state and left thousands of Hoosiers without power.

The northern half of Indiana will remain under a High Wind Warning, with wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, until 9 p.m.

However, WISH-TV meteorologist Marcus Bailey has good news.

"Once we get into the overnight hours, we'll start to ease up those winds quite a bit," he said. "We'll have a much calmer day on Thursday for Thanksgiving."

Bailey says it will be cloudy and chilly, with highs only in the lower 40s, but it will be dry. Our next chance of rain won't be until late Friday afternoon or Friday night.
