Winter Storm Warning for Central Indiana from Late Friday-Early Sunday

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

INDIANAPOLIS--About four to seven inches of snow are expected for central Indiana. The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says a Winter Storm Warning is in effect from midnight Friday through 7 Sunday morning.

The warning will be in effect for Marion, Johnson, Vermillion, Parke, Putnam, Hendricks, Hancock, Vigo, Clay, Owen, Morgan, Shelby, Rush, Sullivan, Greene, Monroe, Brown, Bartholomew, Decatur, Knox, Daviess, Martin, Lawrence, Jackson, and Jennings counties.

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible. Consider staying off the roads and postponing travel to a better weather day.

The Weather Service believes the highest amounts of snow will be mainly south of I-70 and that portions of central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Indiana will be affected.
