World War I Veterans Interviewed For Veterans Day in 1975 on WIBC

You don't often get the perspective from someone who fought in the Great War. WIBC's Fred Heckman documented their thoughts in 1975.

STATEWIDE -- Saturday is Veterans Day, which started as Armistice Day in 1919, to celebrate the end to World War I.

In 1975 several Hoosier veterans who fought in WWI were interviewed by WIBC's long-time News Director Fred Heckman. He asked them not only about their experiences during and after the war, but what their thoughts were when the armistice was signed and even what they thought would happen in the future.
