WASHINGTON — Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin says the government is extending the deadline Americans have to file their tax returns to July 15th.
Mnuchin announced earlier this week that Americans had until that date to pay but still expected them to file by April 15th.
In a tweet this morning, Mnuchin said all taxpayers and businesses will have the additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.
At @realDonaldTrump’s direction, we are moving Tax Day from April 15 to July 15. All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.
