Coast Guard Officer Accused of Domestic Terrorism

Lt. Christopher Hasson is described as a white nationalist who "intends to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country."

SILVER SPRING, Md. -- A Coast Guard officer is accused of being a domestic terrorist.

FBI agents arrested Lt. Christoper Paul Hasson and seized a stockpile of weapons and ammunition from his home in Silver Spring, Md. on Friday.

Prosecutors say he planned to attack politicians, journalists, and TV anchors from a list of targets that included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Prosecutors describe Hasson as a white nationalist who "intends to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country."

Hasson is due in federal court today for a detention hearing.
