Magnitude 4.0 Earthquake Hits Ohio

The quake hit near Cleveland at around 10:50 a.m. Monday, according to the USGS.

 

 

 

CLEVELAND, OH -- A preliminary 4.0 earthquake has hit near Cleveland. 

The USGS reports that the quake hit around 10:50 a.m. Monday and was centered in Lake Erie, just north of Eastlake.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office says a 2.2 magnitude aftershock hit about ten minutes later. 

There are no reports of any injuries or damages.
