NASA Is Returning To The Moon

NASA released a video saying they're planning on getting people back to the moon, and preparing to go beyond to Mars.

NATIONWIDE -- NASA is returning to moon.

NASA released a video on their Twitter on Saturday, saying they're returning to the Moon, and preparing to go beyond to Mars.

“We are going to the Moon. To do so sustainably, we are going to expand partnerships with industry, to deliver payloads to the surface of the Moon. Beginning with missions beyond low-Earth orbit, the United States will lead the return of humans to the Moon for long-term exploration and utilization.” NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said at a industry conference in May 2018.

NASA's objectives for returning to the moon include establishing a long-term presence on or near the moon, sending an uncrewed flight of NASA's Space Launch System and Orion capsule near the moon, and a crewed flight around the moon in 2023.
