Ragu Pasta Sauce Recalled Due to Possible Plastic Pieces

The voluntary recall affects bottles of Chunky Tomato, Garlic and Onion, Old World Style Traditional and Meat sauces.

WASHINGTON -- Some varieties of Ragu pasta sauce are being recalled over worries the bottles could contain pieces of plastic.  

Ragu's owner Mizkhan America said the voluntary recall affects bottles of Chunky Tomato, Garlic and Onion sauce and its Old World Style Traditional and Meat sauces. 

The sauces were made between June 4 and June 8 and sold nationwide.

So far, there haven't been any reports of plastic causing any injuries, but the company said people shouldn't use the sauce out of an abundance of caution.

The recalled products include:

If you own the recalled pasta sauce, you should throw it away or return it to the store of purchase.
