Sarah Huckabee Sanders is Leaving the White House

Huckabee Sanders will leave her role as White House press secretary and return home to Arkansas, Pres. Trump said on Twitter.

WASHINGTON (WISH) — Sarah Huckabee Sanders is leaving the White House, President Donald Trump said in a tweet Thursday afternoon.

Huckabee Sanders serves as the White House press secretary. She had formerly been a campaign manager and political adviser for Trump.

"After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas," the first of two tweets said.

"She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas - she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!"

In the Mueller report released in April, Sanders was found to have admitted to investigators that she lied to the public as press secretary.
