WASHINGTON — John Bolton is out as National Security Advisor.
President Trump said on Twitter that he informed Bolton on Monday that his services were “no longer needed at the White House.”
He said he requested Bolton’s resignation and received it Tuesday morning.
Trump said he fired Bolton because he and others in the White House “disagreed strongly” with many of his suggestions.
A new National Security Advisor will be named next week, the president said.
Bolton was Trump’s third national security advisor.
….I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week.
