Elizabeth Warren Begins Possible White House Run With "Exploratory Committee"

Sen. Warren posted a video on YouTube and has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to allow her to begin raising and spending money should she decide to run for president. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts says she is considering a run for the White House in 2020 and is setting up an exploratory committee. 

 

Sen. Warren posted a video on YouTube announcing her intentions. 


Warren's team filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to allow her to begin raising and spending money to benefit her candidacy should she decide to run for president. 

 

Warren is the first big-name Democrat to take formal steps for the party's presidential nomination.
