Sanders: The New Yorker Article On Vice President Pence "Sad Example Of Journalism"

The magazine says President Trump has joked that Vice President Pence "wants to hang them all" when referring to gay people.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The New Yorker magazine says President Trump has made fun of Vice President Mike Pence for his views on gay rights, religion and abortion.

In an article published Monday, an unnamed source says President Trump joked that Pence "wants to hang them all" when it comes to gay people.

As a guest Tuesday morning on 93 WIBC's "Tony Katz and the Morning News" in Indianapolis, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders referred to The New Yorker article as "a sad example of journalism."

"I've talked to both principals that would've been part of that conversation and neither one of them have ever heard or been a part of it," according to Sanders.

"I think you often have a lot of stories that are unsourced [and] unsubstantiated, and a lot of outlets I think act very irresponsibly to put out information from third parties and sometimes [they may] even [be] made up, I don't know," says Sanders.
