INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday announced the dates and times of their three preseason matchups.

The Colts will open the preseason at home against Carolina on Sunday, Aug. 15 (1 p.m.). It will be just the second preseason meeting between the two teams. In 2008, the Panthers hosted and defeated Indianapolis, 23-20.

In their second preseason contest, the Colts will travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings on Saturday, Aug. 21 (8 p.m.). The Colts and Vikings have met 10 times in the preseason, with Minnesota holding a 6-4 advantage.

For their third and final preseason game, Indianapolis will travel to Detroit for a matchup on Friday, Aug. 27 (7 p.m.). It will mark the 23rd preseason game between the Colts and the Lions, with the Colts leading the series at 13-8-1.
