Adam Vinatieri and Colts Agree To 1-Year Deal

Vinatieri will return to the Colts roster next season for his 24th year in the NFL.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Adam Vinatieri is the oldest active player in the NFL and he will be sticking around a little longer.

The Indianapolis Colts and Vinatieri have inked another 1-year contract, which means Vinatieri will be returning to the Colts roster next year for his 24th season in the NFL.

Vinatieri started his career back in 1996, drafted by the New England Patriots out of South Dakota State. He's been with the Colts since 2006.

The 46-year-old kicker is the NFL's all-time leading scorer, surpassing Morten Anderson's record this past season.
