Colts Staying Tight Lipped on Adam Vinatieri's Status For Sunday

Vinatieri is reportedly suffering from an injured groin. He's vying to become the NFL's all-time leading scorer.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Adam Vinatieri is still listed as the kicker for the Indianapolis Colts' road game against the Oakland Raiders this Sunday.

It's been reported that Vinatieri is dealing with a groin injury, which is why many believe he missed two extra points in the Colts 37-5 win over the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday.

"No new update," Head Coach Frank Reich briefly stated Wednesday. "We'll just continue to monitor that situation as the week goes on and continue to talk to (Vinatieri) and make the best decision later in the week."

The Colts worked out free agent kickers Cairo Santos, Kai Forbath, and Taylor Bertolet this week.

Vinatieri is just five points shy of passing Morten Andersen, who played for the Ben Davis Giants in high school as an exchange student from Denmark, as the NFL's all-time leading scorer.
