CANTON, Ohio. — Former Indianapolis Colts running back Edgerrin James has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. 

This is the sixth time James has been a finalist for induction into the Hall of Fame.

James was drafted by the Colts in 1999 and stayed with the team until 2005. During that time he became the team’s all-time leading rusher, gathering 9,226 career rushing yards.

He also holds Colts franchise records for most career rushing touchdowns (64), most rushing yards in a single season (1,709 in 2000), and most seasons with over 1,000 yards rushing (5). 

After his time with the Colts he spent four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and then a final season with the Seattle Seahawks before calling it a career after the 2009 season.

Once he retired he finished his career with 12,246 career rushing yards (13th all-time) and 80 touchdowns (20th all-time).
