Donnelly Joins List Of Senators Calling For Al Franken's Resignation

WASHINGTON -- Senator Joe Donnelly is among several lawmakers in Washington calling on Minnesota Democrat Al Franken to resign. Franken is facing several allegations of sexual misconduct.
Donnelly says "Senator Franken’s conduct and behavior are unacceptable and he should resign."
He continues, "I believe there is more work to be done to protect victims of sexual harassment and to reform the system of filing and settling harassment claims in Congress. I support reforms to protect victims, increase transparency and ensure that taxpayers do not have to pay for settlements made by members of Congress.”
Franken is facing numerous allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior. He has apologized for the encounters, which occurred before he became a senator.
Several Senators, along with Donnelly, have asked for him to resign, as well as Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez.
