White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked if President Biden regrets the manner in how he withdrew from Afghanistan after talking with the families of those 13 who died in service in Kabul.

Psaki fumbles an answer.

“Well, first, I would say that the men and women who gave their lives — and the President attended, as you noted, yesterday, to honor their service, honor their sacrifice, and had time — had the opportunity to meet a number of the family members yesterday.

We can’t — that doesn’t take the place of all of the progress we’ve — all of the work that has been done to evacuate people.  But I will tell you something that has been said time and time again by the brave men and women of the military who are leading this effort: These 13 individuals sacrificed their lives to save tens of thousands of people.  And that is something that is — should be honored, should be valued, and we will continue to look for ways to do that.”

Tony Katz says that her wording was terrible, even for the press secretary.

“This is the first time I can honestly say that Jen Psaki not only was flustered, but absolutely failed in her task.”

Doesn’t take place of all the progress? 13 military heroes died in what could have been a preventable situation, not excluding the hundreds of Afghans who lost their lives, doesn’t shadow the wins of the administration?

We’d be confident that Psaki replays that failed answer over in her head while sipping on something strong…hopefully regrettably.
